On The Scene: S.H.E Summit The Leadership & Lifestyle Event For Women

Being a young female mogul in the making, it made more than enough sense to cover the S.H.E Summit conference. The S.H.E Summit event was 2 days, 14 sessions, and featured 50 speakers sharing power-packed advice on leadership and lifestyle for women. This transformational conference had the best-of-the-best in female entrepreneurs, speakers, authors, philanthropist, and executives at companies like BCBGMAXAZRIA, UN Foundation, Lifetime Network, Refinery29, Dress for Success, Physique 57, and much more! It was a room filled with female movers and shakers, and they had my full attention.

S.H.E Summit was founded by women’s leadership and lifestyle expert Claudia Chan, with the S.H.E standing for “She Helps Empower”. The 2 day conference was the blowout event that wrapped up S.H.E Summit Week, which is an entire week dedicated to celebrating, inspiring, and empowering women. Realizing that there was a lack of recognition for women in leadership and entrepreneurship, Chan created a special week to showcase and celebrate women’s achievements.

The 2nd Annual S.H.E Summit Week began with a kickoff press breakfast at the BCBGMAXAZRIA showroom, with Claudia Chan, Lubov Azria, chief creative officer of BCBGMAXAZRIAGROUP, and the female participants & organizers of S.H.E Summit Week.

Throughout the week there were about 100 pop-up events held for women around the globe. The pop-up events brought women together to engage in their interests & passions, and featured events such as networking, entrepreneurship, professional development, fitness, beauty, art, culture, and much more. The week finished off with a mass assembling of women in New York’s Soho district, for two uplifting days that included, panel discussions and keynote sessions that covered topics on entrepreneurship, finance, wellness, and lifestyle. This event was a great opportunity to connect and be inspired by some of the great female role models and business leaders.

Overall, the conference had an over flow of remarkable women in leadership. There were so many I wouldn’t be able to mention them all just in one post, however you can find a complete list here.

SheSummit11Granted, there were some amazing women on the stage, but did I mention there were some impressive influential women in attendance. It was excellent opportunity to mix and mingle with the other like-minded women, and quite frankly, conversing with these women inspired me in my pursuit of various business ventures.  In fact, I came away from this experience making wonderful connections and business relationships that will have a long-lasting impact on my life.

The S.H.E Summit was definitely an event not to be missed! As I write this, I’m still amped about the whole experience that I’m looking forward to next year’s conference. Claudia Chan pulled of an epic event that will be talked about for months to come. I must say, Claudia keep up the great work!
